11-11-11 11:11:11 (True, true, true…)

2011_11_11_fri_11h_11m_11s

Today is another Friday with a numerical twist with an echo, it is 11-11-11. A day full of True and Yes in binary. I put in vacation for this date sometime ago for a dentist appointment. When making the appointment I choose today since it was easy to memorize 111111. After marking that on the calendar I realized this date will not come around for another century. Though the day off I have is filled with errands I figured why not make it a special errand day since it is filled with Trues and Yeses.

I captured this at 11:11:11 today near where I live. Last bit of leaves hanging on before Father Winter approaches.

If you have Flickr make sure to join this group 11|11|11 and contribute today’s photo.

Unixtime stamp for today is 1321031471. Today’s weather in Baltimore is sunny and windy with the high of 47.

Me, Myself, and Irene

Prelude to the happening

When hurricane Irene passed by Baltimore this past summer it was like partying with Axel Rose–pouring cats, dogs, and rats. To capture some of her gesture that I rig my camera with plastic bag wrapped with painter’s tape just to keep it dry. Though the 7D is weather resistant I didn’t want to take any chance with it. Other than that I had a blast.

Slowly catching up…

Moon rise in Baltimore

Air Line

With crazy freelance work, day time job, and life getting in the way of life for the past few months, I have not had the time to upload photos of my own. Before things gets crazier–with the holidays creeping up–I want to slowly upload handful at a time.

Moon rise in Baltimore was taken in Saratoga and Charles street. It does not look like Baltimore at all.

Broccoli Brain Cloud was a scene after Hurricane Irene. I was coming out of a hospital visit and this lone cloud was just floating at a distance.

Air Line, sunny day, walking around with my 70-200, looked up, plane woozing by, click. Nuff said.:)

I love my 70-200.

Bubbles, bubbles, it’s everywhere

Bubble Bubble
Little Bubbies
Bubble Fairy

There is something about bubbles, to this day I find it alluring–how they nonchalantly glide in space, the color spinning around on the surface like Jupiter, and just the shape of it. There are people who making amazing bubble shapes with various tools, but this fairy (at the Maryland Renaissance Festival) just conjured all these bubbles with her bare hands. She gently blew life into each one on the palm of her hand and they just obeyed her command. It was quite fascinating to watch–and she was very cute. But wow…I just never saw anyone create bubbles from bare hand without any tools. At one point she created a big bubble, somehow injected small bubbles within, later the big bubble popped and she gather all the small bubbles (that was inside) and created on big bubble again. Talk about lucky bubbles.

Harper on Ed

Last week I was photographing Scott Matejicka (www.Matejicka.com) playing at Mount Vernon park. And so happens Ed and Harper waltzed along bathing on the golden west sun. Seeing both of them put a big smile on my face and click. I loved the face Harper made on the black and white one. It was a nice day to be at the park.
